Social Committee

The goal of Social Committee is to bring together the members of the parish in settings that are more relaxed then the Liturgy. Our hope is that the Social Committee will have events geared toward all different age groups each year. This committee is self funded and some of the events each year need to generate enough money for the entire year. Both the old Rowley and Georgetown parishes have had social committees and we look forward to everyone working together and bringing the best of both parishes to our new parish. Some of the events of the past are the Chicken BBQ, Children’s Christmas Party, Children’s Easter Egg Hunt, Pancake Breakfasts, Pasta Suppers, Pot Luck Suppers, Movie Nights for the children, and many more. Please remember we are not limited in our events by what was done in the past. If you have ideas this may be your committee.

If you are interested in throwing parties this committee may be the one for you. We are looking for 9 members to be on the committee but we are also looking for people who would like to help out for just one or two parties. For example if your passion is pancakes then let us know. When the committee starts planning our next pancake breakfast then we will call on your special skills. If at this time in your life everything is about your children you may be interested in helping out only with the children’s festivities.
