CONFIRMATION PREPARATION II
 

Confirmation Classes will be held on Sunday evenings in the Rowley site from 6:30-8:00 PM.
Refer to the enclosed schedule for specific dates for classes.

Regular attendance is expected and required. Limit absences to illness and family emergencies. The grade 10 program is set up with all live speakers and it is impossible to make up these classes. Call the RE office @ 978 948 7747 if your child will be absent.

SPECIAL DATES:
November 21, 2009 – Alpha Retreat Day – More info to follow including cost and time.
January 12th, 2009 -6:30-8:30 PM- Monday evening in Georgetown hall- Respect for life Talk (Parents encouraged to attend)
 

January 16, 2010 - 4:30 PM – Rite of Enrollment Mass - Students attend Mass together. Their names are read to the parish and the students sign the ‘Book of Enrollment’ that indicates their desire to receive confirmation.
 

January 17, 2010 - 6:00 PM - Respect Life Presentation

Community Service is living their faith. Being an example of Jesus to others is important part of the Confirmation process. Students are expected to complete 10 hours. Enclosed is a list of possible areas for service. (Service students do for school cannot be counted toward their church service.)  See the Community Service page for a list of organizations looking for volunteers.

Confirmation Students need to complete certain paperwork which includes: 1.an application for confirmation, 2. a sponsor certificate, 3.community service form(s) and 4.a paper on the saint the student has chosen for confirmation name.

Please download these and fill them out to send in. All paperwork needs to be complete to our office by end of classes on May 3, 2010.

Confirmation will take place in the fall on 2010-the date will come from Boston. Further information will be sent when it becomes available.
